Ethel was born on May 2, 1917, to the late Clarence and Lillian Chopp.  A long-time resident of Independence, Ohio, she lived a rich and full life. Everyone familiar with Ethel knew she was always active and appreciated her intelligence and uncommon sense of humor. At different points in her life she was an executive secretary and real estate agent.  She eventually became a court reporter and was trusted to transcribe challenging medical testimony. Having learned from her mother, she was a skilled seamstress. She enjoyed Bible study and golf. She was involved in the League of Women Voters, the Independence Republican Club, Independence Campsighters, and Toastmasters.  She dearly loved her Savior, Jesus, and was a member of Parma Heights Baptist Church.
