Henry Ben Drusz was born to the late John and Victoria (Padauch) Drusz on January 19, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio. He passed away at the age of 86 on Monday, July 16, 2018. Henry married Margaret (who preceded him in death on January 29, 2018) on August 4, 1956 at Saint Monica, Garfield Heights.
Henry graduated from Saint Stanislaus in Cleveland, Ohio. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1951, where his skill sets included being an aircraft mechanic. He was honorably discharged in 1956. His civilian work career was with TRW, as a tool and dies maker and later as a quality control coordinator. Henry was a Eucharistic Minister and made a lifetime commitment to Sisters of Saint Joseph of the third Order of Saint Francis. Henry served as an altar boy in his youth and was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary, Catholic Church in Cleveland, Ohio. Henry was a lifetime Commander of Maple Heights post 309. He was also a member of the USAir force 40/8 club.
Henry studied drums, as a youth, and played in polka bands. He enjoyed dancing, fishing, boating, camping, cook and the enjoyment of family and his legionnaire friends. He had a great admiration for the Sister of Saint Joseph.
Henry was preceded in death by only sibling Jessie Cornell. He leaves to cherish him memory, daughter Christine Odom (Leonard), granddaughter Lauren Odom; grandson Adam Odom (Evilia); nephews and nieces. Henry will be especially missed for his outgoing and friendly personality.
Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Chapel at Marymount Congregational Home, 12215 Granger Road, Garfield Hts., OH 44125 on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 10:30-11:30am, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am.
