Georgia Mae James was born in Columbus, Mississippi on a June 3, 1943 to William B. and Georgia James. She was the youngest of 2 children. Georgia moved to Cleveland at a young age and attended Cleveland public schools. She then received her GED and
her Bachelors degree in science, from Tri-C Community college. Georgia attended and was baptized at 2nd Mount Carmel Baptist Church.
Georgia married James Moon in 1959 and had 3 beautiful children Jamie, Jimmy, and Sabriya. She worked doing housekeeping at the federal building, and both the Brecksville and Wade Park VA. She also loved gardening and helped in many gardens around the city.
Georgia was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She taught us a lot from riding bikes in the snow, to spelling out our names with pennies on the floor, making music with the pots and pans, and teaching us that with hard work, we can do anything we
put our minds too.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father William B. and Georgia James, and her grandson, Nadir Hemeed.
Georgia was called home to be with the Lord, on August 5, 2022.
Georgia leaves to cherish her memory sons; Jamie Moon and Jimmy C. Moon, daughter; Sabriya Hemeed, grandchildren; Idress Hemeed, Nieemah Hemeed,
Javia Moon, Jacee' Moon, Joseph Moon, and Jocelyn Moon, great-grandchildren; Essence May-Hemeed, Armani May- Hemeed, Jayllah Moon, Nieem Hemeed, Jaiauna Moon and Messiah Hemeed, her only brother; William B James Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
