Gloria Jean (Giuliani) Zepp

Gloria Jean Zepp (nee Giuliani), age 79; beloved wife of Robert; loving mother of Jean Kanzinger (Greg), Lori Zepp and Lisa Swiecicki (Jeff); devoted grandmother of Dominic Matras, Virginia Kanzinger, Benjamin Swiecicki, Giuliana Matras, Anthony Matras, Marie Kanzinger and Samuel Swiecicki; dear sister of Elio and Elmer (both deceased); dearest aunt of Albert Giuliani and many other nieces and nephews.

Gloria grew up in Cleveland, the daughter of Italian immigrants Angelo and Virginia Giuliani (nee Duccieschi) who operated a grocery store at E. 93rd & Harvard for nearly 50 years. She was a proud 1958 graduate of Holy Name High School. Gloria and her devoted husband Bob were classmates at Holy Name Elementary and High School and were married at Holy Name Church in 1960. She enjoyed class reunions and gathering with her school friends for lunch over the years.

When the family grocery store closed, she began a long career as a retail sales employee at May Company (Kaufmann’s/Macy’s) working in the men’s clothing and later the men’s fragrance department. After retiring, she continued working at the men’s fragrance counter.

Gloria performed in musical theater with Signet Players in her twenties and enjoyed attending theater productions at Playhouse Square with friends and family. She was a lifelong loyal fan of the Cleveland Indians. She shared her love of music, movies, and art with her three children and seven grandchildren. In recent years, she focused her beautiful energy on her grandchildren who loved her food, her company, and her sense of humor.

Family and friends are asked to meet at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 4750 Turney Rd., Garfield Heights, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 10 am with a reception afterwards. Online condolences may be submitted at GDFH.net.
