Rev. Carl A. Uhler

Rev. Carl A. Uhler; Pastor Emeritus of St. Stephen Church, West Salem, OH; passed away July 15, 2022 at Villa Saint Joseph. Father Carl was ordained a Catholic Priest on May 19, 1956, serving the Diocese of Cleveland for 66 years; beloved son of Charles and Emily Uhler; loving brother of Charlotte Nowak (deceased); devoted uncle of Jim Nowak (Maureen), Bill Nowak (deceased) (Sandy) and Tom Nowak (deceased); dear great uncle and friend of many. Father Carl enjoyed golf, skiing and visiting the family cottage at Lake Cardinal. Visitation will begin on Thursday, July 21, 2022 with Vespers at 3:00pm at St. Monica Church, 13623 Rockside Rd., Garfield Heights, OH 44125 and will continue until 8:00pm. Bishop-Elect Michael Woost will preside. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00am at St. Monica Church, Bishop Martin Amos will be the main celebrant. Interment Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Third Order of Saint Francis at Marymount Congregational Home, 12215 Granger Rd., Garfield Heights, OH 44125.
